A programme built around real business need

Energy Smart East Lindsey has been developed by East Lindsey District Council in response to conversations with local businesses about the pressures they are facing in the current financial climate, particularly around the cost of gas and electricity. Funded through the East Lindsey Investment Fund, the programme is designed to give businesses of all sizes access to expert advice, tailored audits, and networking opportunities to help identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen long-term resilience.

Smaller businesses can access fully funded resource efficiency audits through N4 Energy Solutions, while Advice4Growth is delivering ongoing one to one business support and a series of networking events for businesses across the district, starting in October. Larger businesses with higher energy demands are supported through the specialist advisory service delivered by Energy Oasis.

Funding Support

  • Total energy audit value: £3,375

  • East Lindsey District Council funding (66%): £2,250

  • Your contribution: £1,125

This project has been funded by East Lindsey District Council through the East Lindsey Investment Fund.

What Energy Oasis delivers

For eligible businesses, Energy Oasis provides a detailed, part-funded energy audit that goes beyond a standard efficiency review. Our team assesses a business's current energy use across equipment, lighting, heating, and operations, and identifies commercially viable opportunities for investment. Recommendations come with realistic costs and ROI calculations, so businesses can make informed decisions about where to focus.

For some businesses, that means identifying quick, practical improvements. For others, it means exploring real steps towards energy independence, including on-site generation, battery storage, and smart energy management, reducing reliance on the grid and improving resilience against future energy price volatility.

More than a report

A common frustration with energy audits is that they end with a report and little else. Energy Oasis works differently. Where a business decides to move forward with any of the recommendations, our team can support delivery through every stage, from detailed design and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support. Our in-house installation team carries out this work directly, giving businesses a single point of contact from the initial audit through to project completion and beyond.

Who can apply

Businesses may be eligible for specialist support from Energy Oasis if they:

  • Have trading premises located within East Lindsey

  • Have been trading for at least 12 months

  • Have annual energy bills in excess of £50,000

Businesses across manufacturing, agriculture and food production, holiday parks and visitor accommodation, warehousing and logistics, and other high-energy sectors are encouraged to apply. Funding is limited, so early registration is recommended.
