West Country Parks - Solar PV

Energy Oasis worked with West Country Parks to develop a portfolio of commercial solar PV systems across four holiday parks, helping them cut energy costs, reduce carbon emissions and accelerate their sustainability journey.

For many holiday park operators, energy is a significant and growing operational cost, particularly during peak seasonal periods. West Country Parks operates over 10 holiday parks across the UK and was keen to reduce exposure to rising electricity prices while strengthening the long-term sustainability of its sites. Savings across all four sites:

217.5 kW Solar PV Installation Breakdown

Energy Oasis partnered with Harvest Green Developments to design and deliver a multi-site commercial solar PV solution for West Country Parks, utilising available roof space across four holiday park locations in Somerset. Each system was carefully designed to suit the energy demands, building layouts and operational requirements of the individual sites, while forming part of a cohesive portfolio-wide solution.

The combined installation included:

  • Trina Solar PV Modules: High-quality Tier 1 solar panels supplied by Trina Solar were installed across all four sites. Panel layouts were optimised to maximise generation from available roof space, with individual systems ranging in size to suit clubhouses, bars, offices and central facilities.

  • Module-Level Optimisation Technology: SolarEdge module-level optimisation technology was installed across the portfolio, enabling enhanced system performance and individual panel monitoring. This ensures each panel operates at its optimum level, even where shading or differing roof orientations are present.

  • SolarEdge Commercial Inverters: SolarEdge commercial inverters were installed to provide reliable power conversion, advanced system protection and live performance monitoring across all sites.

  • Advanced Metering & Monitoring: Additional metering was installed to provide detailed insight into system performance, allowing clear visibility of energy generation, on-site consumption and grid interaction across the holiday park portfolio.

Together, these systems form a robust, scalable commercial solar PV solution designed to support West Country Parks’ long-term operational resilience and sustainability ambitions.

With an expected operational lifespan of over 25 years, the solar PV systems installed across West Country Parks provide a long-term, future-proof energy solution for the business.
